"Fanaeian has a beautiful and instinctive sense of what sounds go together and how time unfolds."

Benedict Sheehan — 3× Grammy-Nominated Choral Composer

"The work is a meticulously planned, large-scale vocal score for a professional vocal ensemble, creating a sophisticated arc that is both ancient and futuristic. The relationship is a genuine fusion rather than a juxtaposition; the choir is treated as raw material for live signal processing, revealing textures of the human voice that traditional acoustic settings often conceal."

Michael Zaugg — Conductor, Pro Coro Canada

Edmonton's experimental electronic artist Noel Fanaeian (hundredmillionthousand) has extended his practice into choral composition — and sold out his first ever choral performance to 200 people. Hailed by conductor Michael Zaugg and 3× Grammy-nominated choral composer Benedict Sheehan, Fanaeian performed electronics alongside internationally renowned chamber choir Pro Coro Canada.

April 24, 2026, marked the world premiere of Fanaeian's first classical work — a 60-minute emotionally ethereal performance written for 12-part choir and electronics at St. Basil's Cultural Centre in Edmonton. The performance featured an audience-participatory segment: Thoughts to Texture Interlude. Audience members SMS-texted questions about mortality via instructions from a printed zine. These messages were aleatorically performed by the choir, whose voices were processed into electronics, with the original messages slowly appearing as abstracted visuals.
